Faeries or fairies or however you like to spell it have been around for a long, long time. If you show a picture of a fairy to anyone around the world, they are likely to know immediately what they are. Not bad for something that doesn't exist - right?


Or maybe they do. There have been claims down through the years that fairies do indeed exist. In fact, no less an authority figure than Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame was utterly convinced of the existence of fairies based in part on what we now would call a pretty weak photoshop job of some fairies cut out of a book and pasted onto a picture of a young girl in the forest.


The point is not to tweak the reputation of Sir Arthur, but just to note that fairies have a long tradition and aren't going anywhere. Everyone loves Tinkerbell and others like her, and so we have this wide variety of coloring pages of fairies of all different kinds.
