Sesame Street Let's Dance Elmo
Everybody knows about Sesame Street, the legendary children's show.
Everyone who knows about Sesame Street knows about Elmo.
So, no explanations are really necessary for lovable Elmo, but if you aren't familiar, your child probably is. In any event, just look at the pictures - isn't Elmo cute?
Sesame Street Let's Dance Elmo is a fun toy from Hasbro. It is a Playskool Friends toy.
First, some practical information. Elmo comes with four AA batteries. However, those are used for the in-store try-me features. You might want to get some spares before you give Elmo to someone for best results.
Elmo has two levels of volume. So, if the sound is too much or too little, fiddle around with it before you get disappointed.
Elmo moves, but he must be on the floor in order to move. If you pick Elmo up, he will stop moving. So, if Elmo won't move while you are holding it and shaking it and yelling at it and so forth - that is why. That is absolutely normal.
There are three buttons on Elmo's headphones. These are for three different musical modes. You didn't think they would sell a "Let's Dance" Elmo without music, did you?
Everything is color-coded. Press the rainbow button on the headphone to hear songs about colors. The music notes button plays three different versions of the "Elmo's World" song. The paw print button plays songs about animals. It's simple so that any child can figure it out once you show them.
As Elmo sings, he dances and the heart button on his chest lights up. So, you can play with Elmo even at night, in fact, that's a fun thing to do.
Pressing the heart button will cause Elmo to speak phrases, play the "Elmo's World" song, and make Elmo dance. So, it is not just the headphones that work.
Let's Dance Elmo is intended for ages 18 months to 4 years. Some folks say that even younger children can enjoy Elmo, but that is up to you.
This is an active way for Elmo fans to interact with a favorite character. Elmo encourages movement. Don't just sit there - dance!
Elmo is 12 inches tall.
Elmo encourages kids to bop to the beat. Elmo sings, plays music and dances along by swinging his arms, tilting his head and shaking his hips
Elmo's songs and phrases are meant to prompt imagination. For instance, Elmo says things like “Let's think of other things that are Red!” and “let's flap our wings!”
Elmo has 3 different song modes with 1 song each.
Elmo's heart flashes in time with the beat. The heart also changes colors.
Elmo is reasonably priced for what you get. Not only do you get Elmo, but your child gets a direct, tangible connection with the Sesame Street show.
So, why buy Elmo? One word and one word only: fun.
If you want a fun time with your child, Elmo may be your best bet.
